Scripture: Romans 13:10 – Love does no harm to to its neighbor, Therefore love is a fullfillment of the law.
Observation: When you think of love do you think of fulfilling the law?
Application: Sometimes my neighbor is so rough and gruff, I think to my self, I really don’t like him and I certainly don’t know how to love him. Love seems like such an easy concept when the other person loves you back. But how do we love those who seem to thrive on discension and drama?
I need to ask God to show me the way to love and be a good example to this neighbor of mine. I don’t know where he’s been, where he has walked in his shoes, or how people have treated him his whole life.
I do know that God said Love does no harm, I need to remember that in tougher days.
Prayer: Lord, in the days ahead when I see that grumpy neighbor of mine, please remind me that you love him too and that love does no harm!! Thank you Lord for reminding me that you love all of your children, even the ones that don’t know you yet. May your spirit intercede in our city and neighborhoods.
