He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!” (John 9:25 NIV)
Our culture is a “I am going to figure this out” type of culture. If someone is super successful they then write a book about it or make a made for TV movie and sell that. Why does it sell? Because they have it figured out and if we know how they did it then we will be able to do it. The man healed from blindness was not concerned with figuring out how or why he could now see. He was blind now he can see. He wasn’t worried with what agenda Jesus had or did not have. He was blind but now he can see.
In the same way our faith and pursuit of Gods plan for our lives must be able to be simplified. Have faith beyond figuring it all out. To the point of “one thing”. It is so empowering to be free to say “I don’t know about that, but what I do know is….” The hard put is commuting to the one thing that The Holy Spirit is doing in your life.
I don’t know how to run a church, but what I do know is I am called to pastor people. I don’t know why Jesus has called me to lead a church, what I do know is that he will show me the way.
Show me the way Lord. Lead me to lead like you. I don’t know your grand plan, what I do know is I can say yes. I choose to say yes to how you want me to live my life. Love my wife, and lead my family. Bless Sarah and my kids today. May HOPE make an impact in the lives of her people. Show us the way!
