Jesus answered them, “Do you finally believe? In fact, you’re about to make a run for it—saving your own skins and abandoning me. But I’m not abandoned. The Father is with me. I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” (John 16:31-33 MSG)
Do you have days where you feel like man will this ever change.? Is this the life you have for me? Didn’t I just go through this last month? We all have days like this. Some of us more than others. The disciples had these days to, they even questioned Jesus and what He was up to. In the verse prior to this they finally come to grips and are convinced that Jesus is the Son of God. Have you had the realization? The place where you are without doubt convinced that Jesus is Lord of your life. That you understand that no matter the week, month, or year that you’ve had or are having that Jesus has already conquered the world. That he has been exactly were you are, exactly where you’ve been and He has been exactly where you are going. He doesn’t promise that our lives will be without trial, but He does promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us.
So we will continue to have those days, but when we understand that Jesus is right there with us then life is just a little bit easier. It’s a little bit easier to deal with the passing of a loved one, a little bit easier to deal with losing a job or being laid-off, a little bit easier when you not exactly sure where your life is headed. But you can count on Him, and know that all that we need comes from Him. It’s just a little bit easier because He has already conquered this crazy world.
Jesus thank you that you have already conquered this crazy world . Thank you that we can live free because we believe that you have brought freedom. Thank you that you have gone before us. Gone with us and have come behind us. You go where we go. Thank you for blessing me with an amazing wife and daughters, thank you for Hope Community, thank you that you have called us. You are amazing, Ilove you, Thank you, Amen
