This week in HopeKIDS 3/16/14

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!
Here’s what’s happening in HopeKIDS this week!!

We have an amazing song that your kids have been learning in class the last 2 weeks! It’s a song about Nehemiah. We are so excited to have this original song preformed by Buddy Robinson for all of our kids.

You may have seen the lyrics come home with your kids and probably would like to know the melody for those lyrics! We have recorded Buddy playing the song for you to play with your family and sing along! Enjoy!

What our little ones are learning: (Babies, Toddlers, Preschool & Kindergarten)

Main Idea: Jesus came to do amazing things!
Memory Verse: “The crowds were amazed at his teachings” Matthew 7:28
Bible Story: Jesus turns water into wine. John 2:1-11

Connect at home: Nothing says AMAZING better than sidewalk chalk art. Draw pictures of the AMAZING things God made, and talk about how AMAZING He is!

What our older ones are learning: (The Young)

Main Idea: Since God forgave you, you should forgive others.

Memory Verse: “Forgive the things you are holding against one another. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:13

Bible Story: Peter asks Jesus about forgiveness. Matthew 18:21-35

Connect at home:  At dinner ask: How is forgiving someone like giving them a chance to start over? Tell about a time someone gave you that chance.
At bedtime tonight, learn how the lost son’s family responded when he came home in search of forgiveness. Luke 15:11-32
