This is our kick off our Fall Community Group quarter. For this week’s group, take some time to focus on the questions below do you can be prepared to share your answers with the group.
Have a great first meeting as you come together to connect, encourage one another to grow and to see God change your lives from the inside out!
THOUGHT OF THE WEEK:
Real Decisions Are Made In Prayer Not Pressure. #getrealhope
GETTING TO KNOW YOU:
What’s something you did this past summer that was fun or enjoyable – i.e. going to a movie, swimming, family gathering, vacation, barbeque, etc?
Sheldon talked about how under pressure our true self will emerge. He used the example of a four way stop and the different personalities at each stop sign. What do you do when at busy four way stop?
Read Philippians 1:9–11
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1:9-11 NIV).
Are there any words or phrases Paul uses that should be a part of our decision-making process?
Which of Paul’s decision-making steps is most difficult for you? Why?
Tell your group about a decision you are facing and the steps you are going to take to follow Paul’s advice on making Real Decisions.
Take a moment to jot down some of the reasons you joined a group this quarter. What are you looking forward to the most?
